Heroic Highlight: Spinning Babies 2020 World Confluence

In October 2020, our team had the privilege to help the non-profit organization, Spinning Babies, host their first ever, completely virtual, World Confluence event.

Spinning Babies Highlights RevC

Spinning Babies® offers a third perspective to the dichotomy in childbirth today. Rather than increase technology or medication to help childbirth, Spinning Babies® activate the nature within the body by working with the body in new ways. Their World Confluence event is a blend of birth work and bodywork that helps create a new stream of birth awareness. The multi-day conference includes presentations and courses by Spinning Babies® Approved Trainers from all around the world, with CE credits and certifications, as well as roundtable and networking opportunities.

Traditionally, the event has taken place in person. At the beginning of 2020, the event was planned to take place in Australia. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Spinning Babies team made the decision to pivot the conference to a completely virtual experience - cue Heroic Productions.

Since the conference was transitioning to virtual, there were a few immediate needs the Spinning Babies team needed to nail down. They needed a studio to capture both pre-recorded and live speaker presentations and demonstrations, as well as a virtual platform where attendees from all over the world could access live streams, small group sessions, sessions on-demand, and all other resources for the event.

Heroic Productions helped transform a multi-day, in-person conference into a completely virtual, global experience. The event included a combination of live streaming, from Heroic’s STUDIO 15, pre-recorded content, roundtables and breakout sessions. Studio time was used for live how-to demonstrations, interviews and even a cooking show.

In total, there were 56 hours of on-demand streams, including converted live streams. There were up to 30 hours of continuing education credits for approved speaker presentations.

Spinning Babies originally set a goal of having 250-400 registered attendees. The event brought in over 850 registered attendees, tuning in from 6 continents. One session had attendees from all 6 continents watching at once.

“I'm so thankful that we chose Heroic in our search for production and streaming services. The project management was so smooth, and after every meeting, I felt relief and was encouraged knowing it's being handled.”
